How Good is Livia Firth, Realy? She is more than elegant, charming, brilliant...
Every time Livia Firth steps on to the red carpet during the awards season with husband Colin Firth, she wil take part in an ethical fashion experiment for us.

Livia, who runs an ethical and sustainable boutique called Eco on Chiswick High Road, has set herself the challenge to wear only ethical fashion on all the red carpets throughout the awards season.
"I'm a bit nervous," Livia confessed. "I don't want something that is not beautiful. I mean, I'm not going to wear recycled plastic bottles and recycled newspaper!"
The challenge encompasses concerns from how the dress is made and the what fabric it is consisted of, to where it is made and who made it - but the key is how Livia balance the desire to wear the best of sustainable fashion with the desire to wow on the world's most watched red carpets?

Then how good is Colin Firth? In Tom Ford's words: "he's pretty amazing".
The actor has garnered awards nominations from BAFTA, the Screen Actors' Guild and the Golden Globes for his performance in Tom Ford's debut film, A Single Man, and even the notoriously hard to please designer has to concede how good he is.
"You know, Colin Firth wants to be great," Ford revealed. "So does Julianne Moore. They know what they are doing. I gave them a framework, talked to them about their character. Then created a platform where they felt they could perform. And I think they did."

Ford, too, tried his hand at acting in Eighties New York but confessed: "I did crap. Television commercials mostly."
Although reluctant to see his debut film as an extension of his fashion career, Ford admitted that he wouldn't have been able to make the film if it weren't for connections made throughout his career.
"The advantage, for someone like me, is the access," he told the Guardian. "I was able to call a friend, get Colin's email, Fedex him a script, he got it the next day, read it, emailed me back, yes I love it, come to London, came to my house for drinks, had dinner, handshake deal, boom - done." "That's me, whatever!"
